Don't be overwhelmed when you think about developing "CHARACTER". Pick one thing and work on that! What ONE think can you work on to improve your character?
I especially see how the "give up because they don't see immediate results" part comes into play in our modern day society.
I think cell phones are one of those "flashy knobs" on our "amp of life"
